Adium and ichat

Subject says it all. Does ichat work through Adium X?

Emachines M6811 AMD 2.2Ghz. 512 MB RAM, Windows XP

How do you mean? What do you want them to do?

They are two different apps, so I don't think so.

Well I know ichat runs through AOL IM, so does Adium have some sort of button on the AOL IM to start a video conversation through ichat?

iChat doesn't run through AOL, it connects to AOL's servers. Adium also can connect to AOL's servers. They are two different apps and only one can be logged in to the server at a time as far as I know, and Adium doesn't support video. If you want to use video with AOL IM, iChat is it.

I'm no expert in IM'ing, so perhaps you might get more direction if you re-post your question in the iChat forum or go to Adium's site and check their forums.
