How do I sync iphone to a new computer

I purchased a new samsung laptop with windows 8. I have an iphone 5 and Im trying to sync the two. I deleted itunes from my old computer b/c my assistant was taking it over. When I check anything in itunes it give me a message that itunes will over ride my iphone with what is on the computer, which is nothing. I cannot figure out how to do this without deleting everything. Please help. Thanks.

For Applications, and all content downloaded from the iTunes Store, you need to "authorize your PC" in iTunes under your current account. To do that, just sign in to the iTunes Store on the new computer with the account you always used. It may ask you to authorize that computer now or later, you want to say yes to that when you see it. I forget when it will ask.

I've created different iTunes libraries for each of my four devices and hold the shift key to select the correct library when launching iTunes. It's been working flawlessly. There's also no need to keep a copy of the same app in all the four folders. You just need to drag the app in each library. That way, you update an app once and its updated in all libraries.

I will CYA by stating that I do not buy music or movies from iTunes; I import them. For Video, we select the option that only syncs selected (checked) content for each device. This also lets you store more movies on your computer in iTunes than your device will hold, without having to delete a movie to add a movie to the Library. Same basic process for Apps. As far as Photos go, we back up each device individually on the computer (not iCloud), to keep content separate.

Just as you dragged and dropped Music, Movies, etc, drag and drop all of your Applications (and other purchased content) onto that external storage. Drag all that to where it goes in to the new iTunes as well.

Pictures, if you have any, can be dragged out of iPhoto or the Pictures folder, and onto external storage. From there just drop them into My Pictures or wherever you'd like on the new computer.

When you connect your iPhone to the new computer, all of your things will be there, somewhere, and you just have to point your iPhone to them. It will wipe your iPhone, inevitably, as you go to a new computer with a new iTunes Library. The only work left is to go through and check what you do and don't want synced to the iPhone when it's connected.

The short answer is yes, it should be possible.

When you plug in your Apple device to your new computer that's synced with your old computer, you probably get the "erase and sync" message.

Library Tunes will discover your old computer's iTunes Library ID (from your Apple Device) and apply this ID to your new computer's library. By doing this, you should be able to put new media files on your Apple device using your new computer. You should also be able to transfer purchases from your Apple device to your new computer's iTunes library. For non-purchases, you can use a some free progarm.

Library Tunes will create a backup of your new computer's library just in case. There's a chance there's nothing in your new computer's iTunes library yet, so nothing to lose.

Again, I have to mention by advocating the use of Library Tunes, although it is a free program, I may receive compensation.

Are you afraid of losing the data on the phone if you sync it to itunes? the answer is *drum roll* yes. Since its a one way syncing. waht you need to do is to transfer the purchased items you have on your phone to be added on the iTunes library and sync them back to the phone. Or you can try a thrid-party software.
