replace dvd with hard drive void warranty

Macbook 2012 with applecare. warranty is unclear if I can have this done and not void the entire warranty of the device.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

I asked AppleCare once before and they said it would void the warranty.
