Whats app, Kik and Instagram notifications are not working!! HELP!

My iphone's notifications haven't been working well at all. It notifies me when i have a text message but when I have a what's app message or kik or instagram message it doesn't notify me. I have checked the notifications for these app and they are all switched on for DEFINITE but I'm not notified. If you know how, could you please tell me how I can get them working!
