Using Mac OS 10.4.11 how can I activate Quicktime Pro?

Open the QuickTime pane of System Preferences, click on Register, and provide your name and the QuickTime Pro key exactly as specified in the email.

At the apple store it says:
System Requirements
A Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5 or Power PC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
Mac OS X v10.5 or later
At least 512MB of RAM
QuickTime 7
I have Mac OS 10.4.11 so assume that QT pro (or activation of it) will not work. Do not want to pay the money for the key if the thing is not going to work on my machine : -(
