Is Macbook Pro good for networking courses ?

I'm planning to buy a macbook pro but I doubt if it is suitable for me . I'm interested in learning networking courses such as CISCO or MCITP . Can macbook pro meet my demand in this fields ?

OS X is unix-based, so its great for networking. Should do great for CISCO course.


MCITP, sadly, Microsoft being Microsoft, won't be great. There is a lot of tools you'll be going though, that are Windows only.


Now bear in mind, you can always run Windows on your mac. Either natively (via BootCamp) or virtualised (parallels, vmware etc).


Also make sure you get the mac with Ethernet adapter build in or Ethernet dongle. You will most likely need it 🙂
