Hello!
I want to upgrade my Power Mac G5 Quad (Mac OS X 10.5.8) for video editing purposes.
Rendering,editing and exporting takes some time on my computer. I just want things to go faster.
What upgrades should I make?

The only upgrades you can do on your Power Mac are RAM, graphics card or disk.
So provide us with the details on what your PowerMac currently has for those and then we can start discussing upgradess.

Mac OS X 10.5.8 is the latest version for your computer. That's because you have a PowerPC-based Mac, and Mac OS X Snow Leopard isn't compatible with these computers, so if you want to use a newer Mac OS X version, you have to buy a new computer

I have leopard now i see it's too slow
You can increase the RAM in your PowerMac G5 to 16 GBs of RAM.
533 MHz PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM.
You maybe able to find a better graphics card for your PM G5.
You maybe able to install a 256 or 512 VRAM card into your G5.

So, as you can see, there is still hardware out there to significantly speed up your G5.
The 16 GBs of RAM will improve things considerably.
The faster VRAM video cards means better video resolution and on screen rendering.
