That won't work. If you have a wireless network already, you should add the printer to it. Otherwise set up the printer via USB and then via the ad hoc network.

You may download and install the package below which include the drivers for your device:

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Once you are done connect the Mac to the ad hoc netwoork and try adding the printers.. it should work as the drivers are already loaded to your system at this point.
