Adobe Reader 7.0.7 Crashes

I've been having the same problem...

I used to use preview for viewing pdf file, so I never install adobe reader.

But there is 7.0.8 updater, you might try it and see if the bug like yours fixed.

Anyone else having problems installing or running
Adobe Reader 7? It crashes right after displaying the
menubar.

I had this with Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 as part of the Photoshop CS2 suite. It eventually locked up my MacBook so I ended up installing the operating system from the supplied Apple CDs.

I have subsequently seen a comment on the Adobe website about this issue. Adobe say they will not be releasing a Universal version until the next product upgrade.

I'm having the same problem. I try to open a PDF or ETD file, and Reader loads, then subsequently shuts down.

Is there any solution to this? I cannot open Adobe Reader 7.0.8 on my new MacBook. It seems to open but shuts down immediately.

I ended up uninstalling 7.07 and going back to 6.0.5, which interestingly enough works on my Intel Mini.
