Resolution Help

I changed the resolution on my 27 imac on accident and now everything is magnified - how do i get it back to default settings? I accidently hit the command and f1 button - and since then everything from the menu bar to any program that is open is magnified and the resolution is a bit blury. I tried pressing control and scrolling on my mouse to bring the zoom back in but it won't get any smaller.
