Apr 10, 2013 1:01 PM in response to babygentaby Rudegar,If the phone was bought in the middle east it may have been removed

Apr 10, 2013 1:02 PM in response to babygentaby KiltedTim,Where did you get the phone? It is banned by law in some countries in the Middle East. It has been permanently removed from phones sold in KSA and UAE and will be removed from phones sold in other Middle Eastern countries if they are used with SIM cards from outside the country of origin.
If the phone didn't come from the Middle East, check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure it's not disabled there.

Apr 10, 2013 1:21 PM in response to babygentaby Ralph9430,If you purchased your iPhone in the UAE or one of a few other countries, mostly in the Middle East, you do not have and cannot get FaceTime. It is banned by the governments in those countries.
If you purchased your phone elsewhere keep in mind that there is no FaceTime app on any of your Home screens on the iPhone. You must select the person you want to FaceTime in your Contacts app. Once you had the persons contact then scroll down to the bottom of the contact and find the FaceTime button. Tapping that button will initiate a FaceTime call.

Apr 10, 2013 1:28 PM in response to babygentaby KiltedTim,What does it say under Settings>General>About>Model?
I'm willing to bet that you didn't buy it from an authorized source. You bought a gray market phone that originated in the Middle East.
If that's the case, there is no way to get Facetime on that phone. Ever.

Apr 10, 2013 1:34 PM in response to babygentaby KiltedTim,That phone originated in KSA.
Facetime is permanently removed from it. There is no way to ever get facetime on that phone.

Apr 30, 2013 6:31 AM in response to KiltedTimby Maz K,Actually Not!
Bought from Xcite in Kuwait, in a sealed box, with receipt and guarantee, and like 1000's of other ...AE models, they work perfectly well in Kuwait.
For your information, KSA models facetime works perfectly well in Lebanon, Syria and other ME countries.
So now you can correct 'your most definitive and explicit advice' when you say that it 'don't work, ever' because, apparently it does, unless ever in your vocabulary means... sometimes...
BTW, I'm not going to get into some slanging match about this because n matter what ANYBODY says, it's not going to stop my FT working on my phone.

Apr 30, 2013 11:46 AM in response to Maz Kby iPhone_Warrior,According to this Apple article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937
Only Viva and Zain are authorized to sell the iphone in Kuwait by Apple. What you have is an imported phone from another country.
If you ever need warranty service on that phone you will realize why you need to buy from an authorized source.
Good luck.
