Where did you get the phone? It is banned by law in some countries in the Middle East. It has been permanently removed from phones sold in KSA and UAE and will be removed from phones sold in other Middle Eastern countries if they are used with SIM cards from outside the country of origin.

If the phone didn't come from the Middle East, check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure it's not disabled there.

If you purchased your iPhone in the UAE or one of a few other countries, mostly in the Middle East, you do not have and cannot get FaceTime. It is banned by the governments in those countries.

If you purchased your phone elsewhere keep in mind that there is no FaceTime app on any of your Home screens on the iPhone. You must select the person you want to FaceTime in your Contacts app. Once you had the persons contact then scroll down to the bottom of the contact and find the FaceTime button. Tapping that button will initiate a FaceTime call.

Actually Not!

Bought from Xcite in Kuwait, in a sealed box, with receipt and guarantee, and like 1000's of other ...AE models, they work perfectly well in Kuwait.

For your information, KSA models facetime works perfectly well in Lebanon, Syria and other ME countries.

So now you can correct 'your most definitive and explicit advice' when you say that it 'don't work, ever' because, apparently it does, unless ever in your vocabulary means... sometimes...

BTW, I'm not going to get into some slanging match about this because n matter what ANYBODY says, it's not going to stop my FT working on my phone.

What an absolute load of tosh.

There are more than two mobile companies that can sell the phone as well as a plethora of authorised resellers and distributors. A simple search will show that Wataniya is another mobile company and they can also sell the iPhone. Don't assume that you know everything just because you have some out of date info as well as the assumption that you are always correct. The facts on the ground, here in Kuwait, PROVE YOU WRONG!

Please check out http://icityq8.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=134 or check out https://www.kw.zain.com/kw/af/core/home/channel.do?channelId=-8242 and the are many more.

The link you have provided shows info on carriers and does not say that these companies are THE ONLY authorised companies to sell the iPhone. So that link is a load of worthless trash so don't use it anymore. LOL...

Also O great warrior, check out this link http://www.viva.com.kw/latest-news/-/asset_publisher/bP57/content/id/883729 which should put this matter to rest. Xcite and Viva are strategic partners blah, blah, blah.

So please understand and realise that you are wrong and SOME AE MODELS DO IN FACT RUN FACETIME.
