im trying to restore my iphone but i keep getting the error 3014 and im at a loss at what to do
are you restoring it to ios 6.1.3 ? did you put your device in dfu mode ? have you edited the hosts file ?

I am in recovery mode and it wont finish that. it give me the error 3014 and i got the error .1 once
are you in dfu mode or recovery mode ?
press home+power for 8 seconds then release power and keep holding home untill itunes detects your device then restore (iphone should be in black screen)

it easy just press home button+powerbutton (at the same time) for 8 seconds then release the power button while you keep holding the home button untill itunes detects it (in dfu mode the iphone screen is black)
i clicked the unable to connect in a timely fashon link that did nothing for me. i need someone to give me step by step instructions on how to fix this. its the only phone i have.
1. Connect your iPhone to the computer and start iTunes.
2. Turn off your iPhone by holding down the Sleep button and slide to power off.
3. Press and hold down the Sleep button and Home button simultaneously.
4. After 10 seconds release the Sleep button but continue to hold the Home button down.
5. iTunes will pop up a window that says it has "detected an iPhone in recovery mode."
Your device is now in DFU mode and can be restored using iTunes. The iPhone screen will remain black until iTunes restores the iPhone.
i tried this a few times, it gets half way done then i get the error again.
