Since a few weeks I receive various G-mail messages dated 01-01-01 or 01-01-70 without any content. Switching the Mailboxes from 'all Inboxes' to "Google Mail' does fix the problem. These odd and old mails have dissapeared. However, next time when I open my mailbox the same bug is there again.
How do I get rid of these mail-messages? They don't exist in my G-mail account when I am logged in at https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?tab=wm#inbox

Unfortunately it doesn't help.
The indicated switch item settings/ Mail, Contacts Calendars/ Organize by Tread, already was and still is OFF.
Any other suggestions?
reset all settings helped me.
settings - general - reset and then first line uptop - reset all settings. You will have to re enter your wifi passwords, get back your wallpaper and other minor stuff, but will not lose personal info.
Maybe these messages are from the other mail account that you have in your iPhone. Did you checked this?
Have checked all mailaccounts via their resp online server addresses. These old mails (01-01-70) doesn't eppaer there.
The (empty)mail messages also appear when I only check my Google mailbox and dissapear when I swich to 'all Inboxes'

You mean Gmail "Inbox" or "All Mails"?
Did you check in Spam folder?
I mean Gmail inbox on iPhone. Yes I did check the SPAM folder
its a spam bot thats hacks other peoples emails that have easy passwords and sends out spam.
Oh and i get about 30 of those a day at my work email that is on a private server.
