Q: HELP ME!, Final Cut Pro X crashes within the first minute of opening

I've recently purchased Final Cut Pro X, and it was working fine, and then, I open it up, and it crashes in about one minute. I tried downloading the update in the app store, and it hasn't helped, is there anything you guys can suggest?

Final Cut Pro X, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

The first thing is to delete preferences - you can do it easily with Preference Manager - a free download from Digital Rebellion.

If this does not work, you may have a corrupt project or event. You can temporarily hide them by creating folders "Final Cut Projects - Hidden" and "Final Cut Events - Hidden" and move your projects and event in the Finder, while FCP X is off. Or you can use Event Manager (a $5 download) to do this in an easier way.

If FCP X starts ok, try bringing back your projects and events a few at a time, and test if it works.

I had the exact same problem and hiding the events and projects worked for me.  Here is the link that

Apple Care sent to me on how to hide events and files.  Look at step # 7
