Using a Smart Card with a Mac

I would really like to be able to use my Smart Card for authentication on my Mac, but when I connect my USB reader I cannot for the life of me figure out how to configure it to work. I have tried OpenSC with no luck. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

PowerBook 1.67 15", Mac OS X (10.4.6), 1 G RAM

Just because it's showing up in System Profiler doesn't mean that it's going to work.

From the looks of it, ifd-egate is only for the Axalto E-Gate readers. You probably need a different driver for the Axalto Reflex reader. Since it's not listed on the list of supported readers, you might be out of luck.

If you want, you could try downloading a driver from the MUSCLE site, though I have no clue if it will work.

Other than that, I'd try contacting the folks over at OpenSC. There are a few mailing lists which might be of use.
