iTunes won't quit
All of a sudden, iTunes is starting up all by itself every 2 or 3 minutes. It never did this before. Quitting doesn't help. Pausing doesn't either. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

I had the same problem for 2 days and then it corrected itself.

Thanks for reply. We must be in the twilight zone.
I reset Safari, and the problem seems to be solved. Fingers crossed.
iTunes has been doing this for me since the last update. I tried your reset trick and wasn't able to solve it. Even force quitting it only lasts about 30 seconds before it reloads itself. Don't know. Wish it would quit
After resetting Safari, I also repaired permissions with the Disk Utility. You might try that too. I'll be away from the problem computer for the next week, so I won't be able to see if it's still doing it. If it still acts up when I get back, I'll report back.
I just had this problem happen and after about five minutes of figuring with everything forums said to do, it dawned on me that I have a widget running in the background (press F12 to see your widgets) and it was an Alarm Clock that wakes me up with music. The alarm clock was not allowing me to **** down iTunes.
Hope this helps someone out there!

fidgeting*** not figuring lol
Brilliant MizzRei! I ran Disk Utility, reset iTunes cache, checked and attempted to stop process in activity monitor and after all that I then happen upon your comment and what do you know... that's exactly what it was. Silly Alarm Clock widget. [smh] Thank you!
