Just want to ask if it is ok for me to update my iphone4 with baseband 4.12.02 in to ios 6.1.3? Will there be no any problems if i update my iphone?? Pls help

I actually don't know if this is custom baseband, coz this phone was just given to me by my friend,
And the unit wasn't jailbroken.
Why does the baseband matter then? Why even ask?
I am not sure if my phone will still work in good condition if i update it with the latest ios.
the answer is NO, afaik.
with 6.1.3 the baseband is 05.16.08.
If you have something else the phone is "hacked" (jailbroken).
