Adding an HP Laser Jet.

I am having trouble adding my new HP Laser Jet. I select it on the add menu then once it searches for a bit it says the drivers are not available. I have used the start up disk that cam with the printer, downloaded drivers for HP's site, called HP tech support, and tried apple's updates. Nothing has broken this loop. I'm desperate. Any ideas?
