Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

MacBook will only start up for a second.

My MacBook Pro won't start. If I press the power button the fan starts for like a second but than it just shuts off. If I hold it the power button down longer the fan starts up more and the CD thing starts making noise but again it just stops. What is wrong?

Try a SMC reset:

If that fails, see if there is anything useful here:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1367

If no success, make an appointment at the Apple store genius bar.
