Q: Help Please!

How do I download free apps on my account without putting I'm creditcard information?

Now I know there's already a question like this posted and I read it, but my problem is a little different.

When I try to download something on my iPhone it says I need iOS something.

So to get to my account page thing I have to go to options on my home screen and go to the AppStore options

I log in to the account and it says I didn't use my account on the computer yet.

It has a button that says review and I click it

It asks for my location (us) and ecerythings fine

Now here's where my problem is:

When I look at the payment options, "None" isn't listed at all.

So then again, how do I use my account without putting in creditcard information

Thank you to anyone who helps me

You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details

    1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)

    2. Go to App Store and select a free app

    3. Tap INSTALL APP

    4. Create New Apple ID

    5. Confirm Your Country

    6. Agree with Terms and Conditions

    7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)

    8. Create and answer your secret question

    9. Select NONE for Payment Method

    10. Fill in Billing Address

    11. Submit application for new Apple ID

    12. Wait for verification email

    13. When email arrive, verify your account

    14. Start downloading your free apps

Haha I never thought I'd get a reply back so quickly

Ok so I signed out of my account went to click install on the app and...

Instead of saying create a new account or log into existing one

It just says this app requires iOS4.3.

Soo... What do I do now?

Yu may have have a 1G or 2G iPod. A 1G can only go to 3.1.3 and a 2G only go to iOS 4.2.1. Are you sure you really do not have a 2G iPod? Those can only go to 4.2.1

    Identifying iPod models

    iPod touch (3rd generation)

iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.

The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

    To update

The Settings>General>Software Update comes with iOS 5 and later.

Connect the iPod to your computer and update via iTunes as far as your iPod model allows

iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

A 1G iPod can go to iOS 2.2 via iTunes and iOS 3.1.3 via

Purchasing iOS 3.1 Software Update for iPod touch (1st generation)

    https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/touchLegacyLandingPage

A 2G to 4.2.1. Requires iTunes version 10.X. If a Mac it requires OSX 10.5.8 or later. With OSX 10.4.11 you can only go to iTunes 9.X which gets you as high as iOS 4.1

A 3G to 5.1.1  Requires iTunes version 10.5 or later

A 4G to 6  Requires iTunes version 10.7 or later. For a Mac, that requires a Mac with OSX 10.6.8 or later
