Accent options on iPad keyboard

Is there any way to disable the 'accents marks' option on the iPad keyboard. I am working with a client who uses a mouth stick stylus to operate her iPad and she often holds the stylus too long on the keyboard when typing, which then enables the accents marks and ruins what she is trying to type.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Even if anyone knows of apps that have their own customised keyboard that may be more user friendly for people using mouth stick stylus's.
