Q: cant sign on icloud

I'm having the same issue. After login attempt, the site idles for about 10 seconds then gives "connection error" popup window. I'm running Windows 7, IE 9, and an active 16 mbps.

Any ideas anyone?

I'm having the same issue as well, getting the same connection error.  Sounds like it could be widespread.

I don't get a sign on message (error), but I am definitely not able to receive or send mail with iCloud account from OS X mail client or iPhone. Web service appears to be working when I sign on (can send and receive). I noticed about 04:30 ET that service was having problems - yours is the only discussion I could find for the day so far. Apple page says no issues. Hope fixed soon, rely on that account for email alerts from servers (since it pushes).

Same problem here. Was able to get mail using Verizon's Hotspot

I just heard that some users can start to login, and the system is gradually back to normal
