iTunes freezes whilst trying to download duplicate episodes

I use home sharing. On one PC (not the PC i used to purchase the episodes) there are 2 episodes of a TV series that have already downloaded but have duplicates in the library which have not downloaded. iTunes is trying to download these duplicates. I can't stop or pause this download which has a very long download time. It's preventing other downloads too. i.e. Apps etc.

Attempts to end these downloads tends to end in itunes freezing. Ending the prog in Task manager has no effect and prevents me from re-starting my PC,

Any ideas/help?
