ATI Radeon HD 5870 installation

I have installed a previous graphics card into my machine but have purchased the radeon 5870 for better performance. Im sure it will be easy to install similar to my old one except for the 2 power cables, another simple step.

What i would like to know is there any other steps i need to take. i.e. install software etc

I am running OSX 10.7.3 lion fully updated.

It is comming from apple store. Not a PC store.

Mac Pro (Early 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.2), its actually OS X 10.7.3

Cheers. It is 10.7.5. Just have to wait till tomorrow. That is delivery date but i will let them off if it comes tuesday lol.

No software is required. Remove the old GPU and install the new one in the same slot.

Lion is 10.7.5 and you do want all the updates. 10.7.4 graphic driver was not perfect and some waited for .5.
