Having problems viewing videos, just getting voice and frozen faces

Went on Pogo.com and played some games and have had problems ever since. I remember that site asked if I would allow their applet and I okayed it. Wondering if that caused the issues I'm experiencing. I am not able to watch videos on financial websites, etc. Generally get voice but the video either isn't there or freezes. I'm running 10.6.8 on my iMac desktop.
