Q: FCPX 10.0.8 crashes when selecting "import media"!

Hi,

I created a new event and tried to import media to it! This is the first time I use 10.0.8!

Right after clicking the Button to import media, or right after selecting from menue to import media, FCPX

crashes.

Any help?

FCPX is not really crashing, it is somehow blackening out after trying to import media! But the

only thing left to do is to quit FCPX.

I've seen this problem in a different discussion where a user assumed that the import media

window is just not displayed on the main screen. But I do not have more than one screen.

Drag'n'drop media to the new event is working, but I need the import media window back, like it

    was before.

    This solved my problem:

there is a problem with elgato FW TV SAT Receiver!

after plugin the FW cable out and in, the media import window appears as usual. The now offered

Camera "Elgato Systems EyeTV 320" still leads to a complete crash when being selected as import

source. It isn't a camera anyhow, so this camera just makes no sense at all.
