My old HP printer, model Deskjet 970cxi, works on my Windows computer. However now I have an iMac Mountain Lion, OSx 10.8 and when I connect the printer it only prints black, not colour. Does anyone know why? I can't see how to change the print setting to colour.

Contact HP see if they have any additional drivers for the printer.(800-474-6836)

The HP Deskjet 970 is not compatible with Mountain Lion, the print appear as black due the generic driver usage:
Try installing the 3rd party HPIJS print drivers which seems to support your printer.
Be sure to install any of the 3 required downloads prior following the Printer Set Up Instructions:
