I created a new event and try to import my files (AVCHD) but after about a minute the final cut is closed, I've also tried to import other types of files and the same thing happens, it's the first time I use the version 10.0 0.8 with previous version never happened something.

My mac specifications are:

Gráficos ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB

same problem exporting files cannot get my work out ever since upgrade from 7 to 8.

Many people are complainimng about this a new upgrade is needed urgently-We are now out of production can someone from apple please advise urgently what is taking place. Had frame errors and now quicktime errors. I believe many people in South Africa are experianceing the same problems.

Is there not a way that we can convert the fcpx software from 10.0.8 backto 10.0.7 and convert the project and event files also back. This would save us--some one please advise urgently

It is not a good idea to update any software in the middle of important projects. At the top of this forum there is a link toApple's Best Update Practices.

If you follow those archiving steps in the future you will always be able to roll back toan earlier version.

You didn't provide much detail on your issue, but I'm guessing that they involve export problems. If they are related to one project specifically, then try this: copy and paste the existing sequence into a new project. Delete all project and event render files. Try exporting the new project.

Good luck.

Hello, sorry for my english,i have the same problem that i can no export projects (quiktime erro:0) I think the bug is in the new version 10.0.8, but I´ve managed to burn to DVD and Bluray, I have done so:

1º I select all and compoun clip

2º Copy the proyct will be a single clip

3º Create a new proyect and paste the clip aboved generate

4º Export movie to the desktop

5º Let´s Time Machine and go back to the previous version 10.0.7, a day before new version 10.0.8

6º Create a new event and a new project and recorded smoothly

This to me has worked and I was able to save two projects.

I hope it works for you.

I agree that deleting render files fixes exports in some cases…that was my recommendation on 4/16 in this thread.

Unfortunately, deleting renders doesn't seem to work for everyone. For example, some people get an Error -1 message and a reference to a specific frame in the timeline. Sometimes that message is irrelevant and sometimes there actually is a problem with a clip (not a render) at that position.

So there are apparently multiple causes of the error…and multiple solutions.

Yes. I believe that the update broke the export function for some people, (although I am not one of those who lost export function).

I have no idea how many people now own FCPX –certainly in the high hundreds of thousands – and conceivablly well over one million. My assumption is that the vast majority of them upgraded to 10.0.8.

From reading these boards, it may seem as though every FCP user has this problem…but imagine how many threads we would have on this subject if it became unusable for several hundred thousand users.

I don't think the reasons why it's broken for some and not others has yet been identified.
