Q: How can I receive text messages through car bluetooth?

I make and receive calls with my iPhone 5 through my car bluetooth stereo system. My texts messages, however, do not display. (They did with my old flip phone.) I have searched for the way to turn this feature on, but no luck. Would appreciate instructions on how to turn this feature on.

    Nope. Doesn't appear on my 6s Plus.

     

    I've read elsewhere that you have to tell Siri to read them aloud but, as much as this is relatively Stoneage in comparison with Cortana, I cannot launch Siri without Internet connection...ergo, useless.
