Does apple offer any "trade-in" for Ipad 1....are we stuck forever at OS 5.1?

Does Apple offer any trade-in value for those of us early-adopters who bought the first version of ipad??? Are we forever stuck at OS 5.1 as OS 6 is not supported on the original Ipad?

You might get some value as a museum piece. I gave my original iPad to a relative years ago. I've since moved throught several generations, again giving them to relatives. They all get value from them as they do not need the latest generation software/applications. I can still support them and they do the work required.

Technology moves at a fast pace. I now have one semi-obsolete iMac and two that are 'beyond hope'. However to less fortunate friends and relatives they are 'state-of-the-art' and meet their needs entirely.

Your only option is to sell the iPad and buy a new one.
