Apr 13, 2013 6:33 PM in response to lfbtennisby Eustace Mendis,There is a reset button in the back - more like a hole than a button - that you depress with a pencil point. That will reset the router.
Connect the router to the computer with an ethernet cable and see if you can communicate through a browser. The Linksys default IP was 192.168.1.1.
Type that in to a browser and see if you reach the router. If you do the router will guide you to creating a new password.
Alternatively, if you have the model number you might be able to find a user manual on line.

Apr 14, 2013 2:09 AM in response to lfbtennisby Knucklesmac,Hello,
If your Running Mac OS X 10.1.4 then your iBook has to be a G3. G3 iBook's had only Airport cards installed.
If your using the Airport Card which is installed, then you will only be able to connect to a wireless Router that has an encryption of WEP. If the encryption on your Wireless Linsys has been setup as WPA2/WPA encryption, then your iBook wont connect. It will see and try and connect but wont connect. You would need to change the encryption of the Wireless security to WEP. Your iBook G3 is too old to connect to a WPA2 Wireless network.
