Adding more than 100 photos to Apple TV screensaver
I have more that 9,000 photos I need added to my Apple TV screensaver. How can I do this? Right now, it only allows under 100 or so.
Thanks!

There is only a limited amount of space on the flash drive for this purpose. Most of it is used to cache the streamed content. The actual amount can vary depending on photo resolution etc. but it tends to be around that mark.
Why can't it stream the photos from the shared computer as it does with videos through the wireless connection? I'm sure they can figure out a workaround, no?
Then one would need the computer on in order to use the screensaver.
Not a problem. If the computer is on, can this be done?
No. If you want to view your photo library you can via home-sharing or you can create a slideshow.
I agree - I also see just the 100 or so photos on Apple TV screensaver and it is disappointing because I have over 4,000 marked with 4 stars that I would like to see on it. I really hope they fix this on the next Apple TV.
I just confirmed this is still an issue with Apple TV released Oct 2015.
The older models were streaming only, a small portion of flash drive used for screensaver photos and the rest for caching. The new one adds apps and that is primarily what the storage is for so they likely decided to keep the limit. You can give feedback
