Hi all, I still can't get my Edirol UA-25 to work in ML. Roland Edirol claims they have a 10.8 driver but they also say it only works if freeMidi or OMS are alrady installed. I looked up OMS and it said it was for classic 9 and PPC so it could never work in ML could it?

Thanks again Gino, I have discovered that the Roland Edirol un installer is for combo Intel/PPC Mac OSXs. When I try to run it it flashes the message that this computers OS does dot support PPC.
I have contacted Roland and they sent the same old installer again, the owner of the shop where I bought the Edirol is at the NAMM and said he was going to find out what is going on with Roland and 10.8. I already heard from a software developer in France that his installer is also combo Intel/PPC, but not the app it is Intel only,but I can't install it because 10.8 cannot use PPC stuff. Thanks again but no joy yet. There is a knowlege base HT document on this site somewhere that warned me that Using hardware from Roland or M-Audio was not going to work in 10.8 so for this update I don't have to buy a whole new Mac, just a new MIDI Interface that works in 10.8-but Apple won't say which will work.
FreeMIDI and OMS are software for Classic Mac OS systems that added MIDI capabilities. They are no longer needed in Mac OS X. Mac OS X has Audio MIDI Setup, located in the Utilities folder, for managing MIDI devices.
The Mac OS X 10.8.x driver for the UA-25 can be downloaded here and includes a readme file on how to set it up.
Gino Thanks, but I got that download 6 times and it never worked, the Edirol is since 10.8 no longer online,do you know how to get it online?
Unfortunately I don't have that device so I can't help much further. I only thought to point you to the proper driver in case you couldn't find it.
The only other thing I can suggest is to run the uninstaller, included with the driver download, and then installing it again. If that doesn't help then contacting Roland may be your only hope.
