Q: Why can't you use Keynote Remote via Bluetooth with a Mac?

I spent 20 bucks on the Keynote application for Mac and $5 for the remote for my iPhone 5, not to mention the $2800 for the rMBP and $200 for the iPhone! I dislike connecting to my school's unsecured WiFi, and was hoping to bypass the need to do so by connecting via BT. I also bought the $30 DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter so I could use my rMBP with the school's oldish projector.

Also, why hasn't the Keynote Remote application been updated to take advantage of the iPhone 5's increased screen real estate? I expect more from Apple. Perhaps not independent developers, but for an Apple app (Keynote Remote) which interacts with another Apple app (Keynote for Mac) from one Apple device (iPhone 5) to another (Mac), I expect more.
