Songs previously purchased grayed out, cannot re-download

So I have a bunch of songs that were purchased a long time ago that are no longer in my library. They show up in my library on the latest version of iTunes as gray with an iCloud symbol next to them. I can't double click or figure out how to re-download the song, and frankly I don't really use iCloud (I use dropbox) so not sure how to access them. I tried to right click and go to "show in iTunes store" then re-download using the link (where it says "you have already purchased this item etc etc") but the song in iTunes is listed as "purchased" so I can't "buy" and then "re-download" if that makes sense.

How do I access these songs or re-download them?

Mine does not allow download at all

i bought one song (track 8) of an an album here https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/banthuk-kar-s-dng-sd-khxnseirt/id763798674

It says 'purchased' but the download icon is not there. In my music tab i see the album cover and the song name grayed out. The cloud icon is grayed out, and right click on the song does not show the 'download' or 'make available offline' dialogues at all in the right click shell extension command menu

This of course prevents me buying the rest of the album, because even one song took my money and wont let me download

The song was purchased in apple tv using the radio feature. It seems i can only stream it

Other songs in incompletely purchased albums from same artist made using radio in apple tv are fine and downloadable.

It is a Thai artist, so it is possible that some deliberate 'force them to buy the whole album if not cannot download a song at all' type of corruption ploy, because Thailand is a very dishonest and corrupt country, and the zeitgeist or general mindset of everybody is based on dishonest professions.

Thats the only reason i can think of. I mean in Thailand, you can buy an official CD or VCD movie or music, and when you open it and put into your pc, it then warns of loads of viruses. This is because Thais are sneaky and even Multimedia Corporations have a dishonest approach

Anyway, i cannot download my song at all, and i paid for it.

The new iTunes 12.2 is terrible too keeps saying 'cannot connect to iTunes purchases'
