iPhone 4 is detected by iTunes but won't charge.

Hello, my iPhone started acting weird two days ago. Whenever I plug it in to a wall charger and my computer, it makes the little noise that alets me it's plugged in, but it won't charge. It is detected on iTunes on my Macbook but again. it won't charge. It also says something about it can't be charged with this accessory. Any Ideas? Yes I've tried different cables.

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

If you're using an Apple adapter and it doesn't charge, I'd advise you try this:

You should try backing up the data, restoring the device as new and try if that solves the problem. NB: set up as NEW device, don't restore with backup, because a software issue will also be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, the device may need service.

Good luck! !

If it DOES charge while connected with a wall charger but doesn't charge when connected to computer, check out this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4060
