Is there any way to replace the fuse of a 85w MagSafe adaptor?

Hello -

I live in a small community in Bhutan and we had a recent lightening storm which seems to have blown my Mac PowerBook adaptor. Is there any way to replace the fuse (assuming that's the problem)? Getting a replacement adaptor would be quite challenging here..

Thanks in advance!

No, those things are sealed. You need to replace the adaptor (buy another online if you don't have a local store that sells them) and then also get yourself a proper surge protector for the outlet or it'll continue to happen due to your poor wiring infrastructure. I suggest a surge protector from APC if you can get one. It may be a bit more expensive than a regular non-protective surge strip, but it's a proper surge protector.
