Can I take the sim card from my old iPad and use it in an iPad Mini Wifi model?

Maybe it's a dumb question but if the only difference between the wifi and sifi+cellular models is the sim card, then this should work. given the price difference between the models, there must be more differenes than just the sim card.

The difference is that the wifi+SIM has the card slot and hardware to read said card and the wifi only does not. You can't take the SIM from a 3G iPad and put it into a wifi only iPad because there is no slot to put it in. Just like you can't put a DVD into a VCR, there's no reader.

now if you're trying to share 1 SIM card between two different 3G iPads, that might work. Never tried it but it should.
