I was typing in a word document and accidentally hit command+h while typing. The document disappeared and I haven't been able to retrieve it. I've tried reopening the document, and using a shortcut suggested on another forum (command+option+n) but nothing happens. I can open other documents in word. I haven't quit the application yet because I'm afraid of losing my unsaved changes. Any advice?

Command-h will hide the application and associated documents. All you needed to do was click on the application's icon in the dock to bring everything back.
Thank you for the reply. I should have mentioned that I tried that as well. All of my other open word documents reappeared except for the one that I was working on when I hit command-h.
How do I find the hidden Word document if it will not open from the finder or its not listed on the application icon on the dock ?
