Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My 2010 iMac 27" has started to run very hot to the touch, especially in the top right hand corner.
Is this a known problem?
Is there any software available to check whether the fans are running correctly?
The only perifferals attached are: A second screen connected via a thunderbolt port and two Lacie Thunderbolt (independantly powered) drives.
Thoughts and advice would be welcome.

To check your fans for proper operation, use Apple Hardware Test. It will run each one, briefly, at maximum speed, at which they will be audible.
You must remove the firmware password, if one has been set, before you can use AHT.

Hi, sorry for the late reply and for the broken iStat link. The only temperature that looks a little high would be the Power Secondary Heatsink @ 70, but definitely not extreme.
Same iMac, here are my readings, I'm a bit concerned!
This is after my system has been up for approximately 12 hours.
These don't look bad either.
All the MCP and Power heatsink temps look a little high, but are still within an acceptable limit.
Incoming air is 71
thats seems very high.
Is the inlet coverd with dust?
71 would be room temperature in F.
then the temp of crisismanager is similar to the temp of dr88.
27" iMac running a temperature!
