Malware was somehow uploaded???

I was on vacation and I have a mac and a windows computer. My sister plugged her iPod Touch in and later I unplugged it and I went on. The computer was acting very strangely and I found out that I was infected with spyware. I did not download anything on the computer that day and did not visit any sites that day and the computer was fine the day before. I have fixed the windows computer but I am still wondering how this happened.

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 5.1.1

The only way a computer can be infected by an iPod is if you download/saved a file/attachment to the iPod and then transferred it to the computer and opened/clicked on the file when it was on the computer..

As far as i know you cant download files from the internet to the iPod directly. (atleast when using Safari). Safari can only save pictures and so.

You can save email attachments if you have a compatible app. You can also get items from DropBox. There are many ways to get file on the iPod.
