How do i drain my ipod touch?

My ipod has dead spots which means when i touch a certain part of the screen it wont respond.a member here suggested to factory reset it which i did.now its on the slide to unlock screen.since my ipod has dead spots,i cant slide to unlock it.i also cant turn it off.for some reason also holding down the power and home button wont work to reset.it used to.now im trying to drain the battery but everytime i put it down,it sleeps so energy isnt wasting.im unable to make music play on it.it has been on for two days! can anyone help?

What happens when you connect the iPod to your comuter and restore via iTunes?

it restored it,shut off turned back on and on the slide to unlock screen now

Did the restore go through all the restore steps?

Try DFU mode and then restore

Next try on another computer.

Apple will maybe replace your screen. (Or give you a new one as a replace)

Apple doesn't repair iPod. They replace them at refurbished price. IF MissS77 is willing to replace the screen on here own, she can, other than that, I agree with lllaass
