What are the ways I can transfer data from my old Macbook Pro to my new 2013 Macbook Pro? If I use firewire, which one should I use and where can I find an image of the correct one to buy?

If the new computer is a Retina model, you can use either a Thunderbolt to FireWire or Ethernet adapter, or wirelessly, or put the data onto an external drive. For non-Retina models, you can also use a direct FireWire or Ethernet connection without an adapter.
