My ipod touch will not restore.

So I have tried restoring my ipod and it updates and restores, but my ipod is still showing the itunes logo and a connection cord. When I plug it in, itunes just says it has detected a device that is in recovery mode. I have tried restoring it 3 times with the same outcome. What else is wrong??

Maybe:

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.

Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
