Exchanging apple products

Hello guys, i've got a doubt...

Some people have told me that we can exchange apple products in the apple store, and i dnt know if that's true... for example

I have an iPod nano 6th generation and i'd like to get an iPod touch 5g... Can I get one at lower price if I give them my ipod nano??
