I just renamed an "untitled" document on iCloud and it's disappeared. I don't have Time Machine. Can anybody help recover the file?

I don't have Time Machine. Does anybody know how I can recover the file?

Have you searched for a copy of the file on your hard drive?

This is why iCloud is patently a bad idea and why I avoid it.

It is not secure.

It is clumsy and opaque in its opperation.

It puts your material at the mercy of an external organisation/s that do not have your interests at heart.

It causes entirely unnecessary traffic on the Internet, using up resources, consuming excessive energy and creating pollution.

It slows down saves and sometimes interrupts your work whilst it does so.

...and it costs money, time and stress.

Wait till all other alternatives have been removed and then the corporations "discover" that they can "no longer afford to offer this for free" and will "be forced to" charge you to access your own files.
