I am an American living in Japan. My Itunes ID is designated as USA as the music/tv shows I buy are American.
My wife is Japanese. We just bought an Ipad that we share. It's under my ID. Living in Japan, there are a lot of Japanese apps we would like to buy. How can I get these on our Ipad without losing my American region? (Can regions be switched back and forth an infinite amount of times?)

Log off and make a new Japanese iTunes account, you can than switch between accounts when you need.
IMPORTANT: If you switch your US account to Japan you will lose all the purchases!
I mean if you switch in the US account settings, if you have 2 account there is no problem :)
Thank you for your reply. If I change users on the IPad, it will no longer show the apps from the American store, correct?
If you swich US account to Japan or Japan to US all your apps/music/videos etc. everything will stay 😉
