Can't show wordproccessing rulers?

In Appleworks 6 you can use rulers to set verious margins for different parts of a document. In Help it says you make these rulers visible or hide them. But this option is not available on the wordprocessing page. I also am having trouble capying and pasting the rulers.

Would appreciate comments.

What Yvan says applies to show a measuring ruler which appears to be the first part of your question. By going to Format > Rulers > Ruler Settings... you can choose the type as Text or Graphics as well as the desired units. The text ruler only appears across the top of the document, the graphics ruler will appear across the top & down the left side of the document.

In your second question, the wording makes me think you are referring to the command "Copy Ruler" (⌘⇧C). This, along with Format > Rulers > Apply Ruler (⌘⇧V) are used for copying the settings (indent, tabs, spacing, etc.) of the paragraph the cursor is in & then applying those settings in another paragraph or several contiguous, selected paragraphs.

Thanks for the info. My version of AW 6 shows Format>Rulers>Hide Rulers.

What I didn't understand was that the rulers are actually the tabs and margins that appear at the top of the page. When I click on Hide Rulers, these tabs etc. disappear. I didn't realize that the rulers were actually visible all the time. But the option hide/show rulers does not exist as such in my version.

What was also causing confusion was the fact that in another program, I think Mariner Write, the rulers actually show up on the page. This is handy when you want to reformat a document. You can copy these visible rulers and paste them, or locate copy, etc.
