My 4th gen iPad automatically shuts down when I open different apps.
Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.
Thanks Diavonex, tried all that including the cold boot and shut down reboot but the problem still exists. I was wondering if its an app or may be the magnetic sleep wake case that I brought 4 days ago. I know that the case is meant to wake and sleep my 4th gen., the problem is my iPad screen is shutting down when I use the iPad and not the case. I would appreciate any suggestions you could add.
Remove the case and see if problem goes away.
